Running a successful business is part skill and part determination.
You’ll face a number of issues: hiring headaches, merchant problems, time conflicts, and budget constraints.
Your expertise and ability will allow you to overcome these issues, but your determination will drive you to do so.
To plow through these predicaments and keep that drive alive—the very drive that got you excited to be an entrepreneur in the first place—consider the following tips:
Write Your Goals Down
Just by writing down your goals it will keep you accountable and also motivated to drive you to the success that you crave. Having both clear and tangible goals makes it so much easier to accomplish most anything
A study done at a Harvard MBA program way back in 1979 asked the graduate students this one question:- “Have you set clear, written goals for your future and made plans to accomplish them?”
The results were an eye opener:
Only 3 percent had written down their goals
Thirteen percent had goals but were not written down
Eighty-four percent had no goals at all
A decade later, the same group was interviewed, and the results were remarkable:
The 13 percent who had goals but did not write them down were earning twice the income of the 84 percent who had no goals at all.
Beat Your Best
Always remind yourself to beat your best results. Let’s say you’ve hit an impressive, unprecedented sales figure in the previous month. Your drive to “beat your best” should help you work harder the following month.
Surround Yourself with Good Company
“Good company” refers to individuals who will be “good” for your success-chasing endeavors.
Never ever surround yourself with negative people they will just drain your energy causing you to feel demotivated and unenthused. Remember negativity is by and large contagious
To avoid such individuals, associate yourself with people who have a similar mindset to yours or those who are in successful businesses.
Remind Yourself of Your Reasons
Why do you want to become an entrepreneur? No matter how superficial your reasons are, they work. They got you started on the road of entrepreneurship and if you find yourself less eager at any moment along your journey, use your initial purpose to soldier on.
If you want to buy your dream house or achieve financial freedom for your family, let those compelling reasons motivate you to overcome any momentary obstacles.
What makes entrepreneurs different from everyone else is that we want to achieve a lot more than perhaps the “average” person who is happy living paycheck to paycheck. So when it comes to finding ways to be driven, it shouldn’t take you too long.
If you are someone who is just starting out and could do with building your business from the ground up being coached by people have achieved the goals you are setting yourself or…
