Video has become an indispensible factor in successful marketing campaigns, with 93 percent of marketers using it for sales, marketing, and communication.
Fifty-three percent of them cite it as the content type with the highest return on investment (according to video marketing consultants ReelnReel.com).
I highly recommend that you use video to drive traffic to your offers. I produce at least one video a day, but if you’re just starting out and don’t have a big advertising budget.
I recommend you produce several—three, five, or even 10 per day for a while.
The more videos you can produce each day, the more content there will be for people to find when they search for money-making opportunities, home businesses and those kinds of things. It can also help to position you as an authority in viewers’ minds, even if you haven’t made huge commissions yet.
But how do you come up with the necessary ideas to produce multiple videos per day or even one a day for many years to come?
Ideas are everywhere. It’s just a matter of looking at things and relating them back to your offer. After you’ve done it a few times, it will become easier and you will be able to generate plenty of ideas. Here are some places to look:
Your Daily Life
People are naturally curious about other people. So talking to them about yourself and your life can be a very effective way to engage them. I don’t necessarily mean that you have to talk about deep, personal things.
It can be almost anything really, as long as you somehow relate it back to your offer, why you chose your particular business, why others should check it out, etc.
Example: Your wife works outside the home. You still work outside the home. You see her at night, when you’re both extremely tired. You go to sleep and get up the next day and do it all over again. You realized that this isn’t why you married this person—to be like ships that pass in the night between working to pay the rent and bills.
You wanted to spend quality time with your spouse and raise a family, so you got started with MOBE because you saw that reality starting to slip away. Now you’re getting close to escaping the 9-to-5 grind and having a life on your own terms, with plenty of time for family.
You don’t have to limit it to your home life. You will see things outside, on the street, on TV, on the web, and in other people’s lives.
Maybe you’re standing in line at Starbucks. What do you see? People drinking coffee. Some are working on their laptops. You could make a video about how MOBE is the kind of business that you can work on in a Starbucks if you want, or anywhere there’s an internet connection, really.
In a similar way, someone once challenged me to start a marketing email based on an air conditioning vent in the ceiling of a room where I was giving a presentation. I left and came back 15 minutes later with a completely plausible email where I talked about the vent and related it back to my offer.
Look around. You can do the same thing with your videos.
News and World Events
People pay attention to the news and what’s happening around them. So, the latest news trends could be good “hooks” for your video.
Look at the economy. Let’s say you’re shopping in the supermarket. Depending on where you live, you’ve probably noticed that the price of food has skyrocketed in recent years, as noted by Forbes and other credible sources.
So how do you relate that fact back to your business? You could shoot a video with your smartphone or camera in the parking lot, with the supermarket in the background. Talk about how the price of food, gas, and other necessities have risen dramatically.
You think back to what a pound of ground beef cost five or 10 years ago and what it costs today and it’s alarming. Maybe you can recall when your father bought a new car for under $10,000 and how you often can’t get a decent used car for that much these days.
At some point you realized that with the way prices are going, you would never be able to rely on a traditional job to help you keep up with the cost of living. So, you got started with MOBE as a way to be able to stay on top of the ever-changing economy.
Maybe you’ve been following the U.S. Presidential race and how the opposing candidates are making promises to various groups of people to improve this or that economic situation. Perhaps you favor a certain candidate, but you would rather take your financial future into your own hands and that’s why you started with MOBE’s HTAM program.
Ask Your List
One of the best ways to get topics for videos is to leverage your list. Send them an email and ask them what they really want to know about. Tell them you will answer them in a video.
Remember, there are some good general topics that you can get plenty of video ideas from, including:
Product Reviews: Review your products so prospects can get a better understanding of the benefits.
Wealth Mindset: Share what it takes mentally to be a successful entrepreneur.
How-To’s: Teach technical topics such as placing ads, setting up an autoresponder, writing copy, etc.
Testimonials: Get some of your clients to talk about their successes. Use it in your own videos.
When I started out, I didn’t know where successful marketers got their ideas, but I watched their videos and read their copy. I started emulating some of the ones I admired. Eventually, it “rubbed off” on me and I was able to generate all kinds of ideas for my own campaigns.
So read and look at what successful online marketers are doing. That’s another way to get a world of ideas.
